Welcome to Trevor Hall's cartoon website. I have only recently started drawing cartoons and this came about in a rather odd way. I have often had ideas for comedy sketches and odd comedy moments but no way off expressing them.  ( I have awful comedy timing when it comes down to trying to tell set jokes but am not too bad when it comes to bouncing off other people and improvising.)
Suddenly I thought of " The Cartoon " as an outlet which was a bit odd really as I'm not that good at drawing. I set about learning from various " How to draw cartoon books " and found it was a lot of fun so here we are.
I usually work with a couple of black fineline pens and if things are really hard I use a lightbox that I built, just to try and get the perspective right. This is usually for cars as the curves are hard work at strange angles and it gets you started.
I always try to do as much as I can naturally and only use the computer for editing and for fills but not for creation, not so far anyway.
So my first thing is to try and make it funny or thought provoking and if it looks O.K, that's good too but  " It's Not Art."

Some of Trev's cartoons. Some have been published in " The Crabline " recently and more are coming in future. Some are also to be featured in a classic car club news letter but how am I supposed draw cars ? I don't even own one!
